English Drama Group 2017: Matilda by Roald Dahl

Matilda Wormwood (Elsa K./Julia S.) was unfortunately born into a family which is not at all interested in reading or any kind of literature as she is. Her parents, Harry (Luca S./ Noah M.) and Zinnia (Zoe S./Riccarda P.), as well as her dumb brother Michael (Lorenz G.), have no idea of her extraordinary talents, sometimes even supernatural, and want her to be just like them.

When Matilda comes to school she gets to know her wonderful teacher Ms Honey (Leonie K.), with whom she shares a lot of interests and who realizes at once how talented Matilda really is. Her school is "commanded" by Ms Agatha Trunchbull (Valentina G.), a former shot-putter and hammer-thrower, who has no idea how to deal with young children except for shouting at them or putting them into the "chokey".

But then there is also a long-lasting secret between Ms Honey and Ms Trunchbull, which Matilda finally finds out, and with her supernatural powers she succeeds both in throwing Ms Trunchbull out of school and staying with her teacher Ms Honey.
